Our country political and social upheavals have developed into a confrontational way of thinking where there are always threats of “going to the ultimate consequences” that in simpler terms only mean rejection to parental authorities and unending discussions about rights but carefully avoiding the corresponding responsibilities.
Our ministry has developed into a sort of specialized in siblings and hard cases ones because of our emphasis in individual quality care and Christian guidance and example.
Nicaraguan problem solving and authority enforcing usually takes the way of rebellion of the subjects and hard stances of the people in charge of the systems, from the family level to the highest societal one
We are not free from it.

Our ministerial actions relate not only to the children but also to the adults as well. Frictions and challenges are the order of the day, but patience and understanding that we have to keep on walking without despairing is not usually understood by the bystanders or the short time people involved in this spiritual struggle.
Here it is where it is so necessary to count your blessings in order to be able to keep on dreaming that with God´s help, guidance and support you will finally make a difference in the lives of all those around you, the local ones, your people, and the bystanders and the temporary ones, especially if they come from different cultures with different perspectives and different problem solving ways.
We have received the blessings of seeing our own family grow and become independent in action but closely knit in spirit and understanding.

We humanly feel proud of them, and they are the reason that we keep on dreaming to see the same in our children and staff.
Outpoured blessings so they can dream and face the challenges that are waiting to pop up in their way!
Here is our family!
Here is our family!
They are the outpoured blessings of the Lord in our lives!
But the Lord has told us… I have more children for you to care for, walking and obeying by serving them!
And our own children understand!
They miss us, but they understand!
They miss us, but they understand!
That´s our greatest, real and most important blessing!
More than human recognition, rewards or applause!
More than human recognition, rewards or applause!
Here are our dreams
We have dreams in all sizes, adults and children´s as well!
Prettier and frolicking ones, too!
Will you let us dream that someday we will see this sensitive girl become a mature Christian, a lady, a housewife, a leader, and who knows, the future National Director for Arms of Love Nicaragua or elsewhere!
Click and keep on taking pictures with your spiritual camera of wisdom and discernment, visualizing the future and not the present struggles, and help them by supporting us and the AOL ministry in this daily walking with the Lord!
And believe me, sometimes is hard to take them along!
Many times we have to drag them on, and more than else we have to keep the sorely needed balance between dreams and realities of life!

Asunto: THANK YOU
Dear Mr. Padilla,
I am back safe and sound in Guadalajara, Mexico, after spending an extra night in Managua due to a flight cancellation.
I just want to express to you my sincerest gratitude for the time you spent with us on Friday.
It was encouraging for me and for the rest of the guys to hear about your life and how you are serving Christ through the AoL
ministry.
Those girls are blessed to have you in their lives, and I'll be praying for them to grow closer to the Lord as they continue to mature and make more decisions. May the Lord continue to bless you and your wife (and kids) and the ministry to which He has called you.
Next time I am in Nicaragua, I will definitely take you out for a meal! Un abrazo en Cristo,
luke

Hi Emilio,
I read your blog. It is great. I especially liked the one with all the photos.
Thank you. Emilio
Thank you for everything. It was wonderful to get to see you and Gladys and to get to spend time with the kids again.
I continue to pray for you, Gladys, the kids and the Arms of Love ministry that God reveal his way and his resources.
I hope to be back to Nicaragua in the near future and will let you know of my travel plans as they develop.
It's been a blessing to play some part in the lives of the kids and I continue to pray about how God would have me interact with them and what role to play in the future.
Give my best to Gladys and everyone at Las Palmas. Thank you, again. Jason Wang
